House Goat Update

The set of twin SA Boers bucklings that were born on Jan. 12th have out grown diapers, the playpen and they are almost too large for their cage. They have been growing at a very rapid rate. They weighed 6 lbs. at birth, 13 lbs. at week 1, now at week 6 weigh 30 and 31 lbs.
When the weather turned spring like in the 40-60 range I put them on the screened in porch. Then mother nature threw a curve ball, it snowed and is 18 degrees.
They are back in the house for a short period. This for some odd reason is their favorite place to curl up and relax.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.

It is hard to believe that they are real considering the setting. They are real cute babies especially to have running around the house.

They are just getting more adorable every day!

I do wonder though, do they smell up the house? I mean, I have 2 older beagles who get to smelling houndish between baths and our house echoes that it is bath time. I can't imagine how goats might do the same.

Oh that is so cute! I wish I had Luna in the house. She'd be a laugh, jumping all over everything!

I must have been asleep, I didn't realize you had kids in the house. They are beautiful bucklings! I posted today about our new house guests as well, and then I saw your post and had a good giggle.

Thanks :-)
I tried to catch them lazying about in the tub but it never happened.
I stay on top of the mess they make or I am sure they would smell the house up. When confined to their crate I put pee pads down to catch the flow, wash and change their blankets 3 to 4 times a day, clean their crates at the same time. Since diapers don't fit any longer, the only room that was mostly waterproof was the bathroom. Baby gate across the door to confine, rugs and towels down on the floor to absorb. All items removed from the cabinet and TP taken off the roller...the first day I forgot about the TP and they had it unrolled and draped across the entire room LOL They have even learned to turn the water in the tub on.

Mary your new kids are adorable. You're welcome Jennifer :-)
